Physiotherapist
We have a physiotherapist working in the surgery three days per week. They are able to help patients who are experiencing any musculoskeletal problems such as back/neck pain, sporting injuries, sprains, ligament damage and joint pain. You can book straight in with the physiotherapist without the need to see a GP or Nurse Practitioner first. To get an appointment with the physiotherapist please speak to a care navigator and ask to be booked in with the physiotherapist.
Long term health condition clinics
Patients who have long term health conditions such as diabetes, COPD, hypertension etc. will be invited, based on their month of birth, to attend an annual health review appointment. The initial appointment will be a face to face appointment with a Healthcare Assistant who will take any bloods, blood pressure or any measurements required. They will then book you in for a review appointment with a Long Term Condiition Practice Nurse who can advise on any changes which may be advisable or answer any questions.
First contact mental health practitioner
We have a mental health practitioner working in the surgery three days per week. They are able to see patients with a new mental health need, such as anxiety or stress without you having to wait to see a GP first. To book an appointment with our mental health practitioner please speak to a receptionist.
Cervical cytology (smear tests)
It is recommended that women aged 25–49 have a smear test every three years and women aged 50–64 every five years. Smear tests are carried out by our fully trained practice nurses.

Child health surveillance
All childhood immunisations are offered by the practice and we encourage parents to ensure that their children are fully immunised. The immunisation clinic is usually held on Thursday mornings.

Women’s Health & Family Planning
We offer a full range of contraceptive and family planning services. Our dedicated Women’s Health Team, alongside our GPs, provides specialist clinics for contraception, women’s health, and HRT.
Our Women’s Team and all our doctors can offer advice on contraception, treatment options, and ongoing monitoring. Our practice nurses also provide routine contraceptive pill and HRT checks and Depo injections.
We offer fitting and removal of long-acting contraceptives including implants and coils, and ring pessaries.

New baby and post-natal checks
New baby and post-natal checks are done when your baby is eight weeks old. You will have a post-natal appointment with the GP and your baby will have his/her first immunisations around this time.
Well person checks
New patients are able to have an initial health check with the nurse if they wish. Existing patients can make use of this service if it is appropriate.
Seasonal Flu and Covid vaccinations
Flu and covid vaccinations are offered every year to those eligible. These are pre booked clinics.
Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Our Gerontology Nurse Practitioner is available to support our frail/elderly patients living in nursing homes or in their own homes.

Our Frailty Practice Nurses work provides support to patients living in their own homes
Research
Our practice is actively involved in clinical research. This type of work helps to inform future care for all patients. If you would be a suitable candidate to participate in one of our clinical trials our research team will contact you directly to discuss this further.
Travel vaccinations
